MS hearts

I used to be able to play hearts of my workgroup, but that was with win98
SE. I've never been able to do so after upgrading to win2000 and up. In
fact, the option doesn't seem to exist anymore. Anyone have a clue how I can
get the darn thing networked again?

Sorry, this is a change in the hearts game. It's not a change that you can
fix.

Microsoft, in one of their more dumb moves, decided we'd all rather play
against strangers on the Internet than friends or family members with the XP
version of Hearts. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do ourselves to
get it functional. We can, however, complain and hope it changes in the
Longhorn version.

In Chris H. <[email protected]> had this to say:

My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

*chuckles*

I suppose this right here would be the suggestion box:

http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?WS=Wish

Clicking one of the contact options (if enough of us do it) might perhaps
mean that they include network capability for Hearts again? It's worth a
shot if nothing else.

One possible untested way you can play on the local network is to get a copy
of the MSHEART.EXE or MSHEARTS.EXE file from the Win98/Me computer. I think
the file is in the \WINDOWS or \WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder, or just make a search.
