While XP does come with a lot of basic drivers, an operating system is
not your source for drivers. To find out what hardware is in your
machine, either look at the paperwork that came with the computer you
bought or use a free system inventory program like Everest Home:

http://www.lavalys.com/index.php?page=product&view=1

Then get drivers for your hardware. Never get drivers from Windows
Update. Get them from:

1. The card mftr.'s website; OR
2. The motherboard mftr.'s website if hardware is onboard; OR
3. The OEM's website for your specific machine if you have an OEM
computer (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the website where you get the
drivers.
