there is *no* dos support on win2k
however, there command line repair console

if you have installed the repair console
you won;t need the CD

otherwise you will need to boot from the CD to enter the repair
console

the problem is that I do not have the w2k cd or boot
floppy for this particular os. Though I do have a
different w2k cd and boot floppy. I have tried to boot
from them but can't get past the blue screen. Ideas?

Hi Bob,

If you really get stuck, try using a Win 98 boot disk.

You can also try booting from the Win 2000 CD you do have, even if it's
not the original one used for your box.

You might need to get into your BIOS to make you machine boot from the
CD before your hard drive. Usually that's a matter of hitting your
delete key fairly early during the boot sequence.

............I have tried to boot from them but can't get past the blue
screen.

Again, it doesn't sound like you're booting from the CD first, but then
I'm just a guesser here.
