Hello,

I have a license for MS Access 2002.

I heard about the MS Access Runtime, which seems to allow users to
read/write data in an mdb file
without needing a license. That would be very useful !

Could you please tell me more about it (requirements, restrictions, license
problems, etc.) ?

Thanks !

Hi,

The runtime does come with office, but not the licence to distribute it. The
licence is avaiable with a number of products. Our company went for Visual
studio tools, which is quite expensive, but alot cheaper than multiple copies
of Access. The runtime allows users to enter and edit data but does not give
access to the design options. I have recently set it up at my company and
find it works perfectly.

Check out Microsofts product details for more info on availablity.

Hope that helps
