mpservic.exe failed to register

failed to register mpservic.exe to Windows NT (but I have XP) as devices or services
I have gone through the steps of deleting and unplugging the printer, downloading new software, extractiong it, re-starting, you name it, as found in C:\temp\C3500\xp_install.htm

I continue to get the message and cannot make the printer work. Anyone out there who could help me register it, or tell me what to do to make the program do it?

What sort of printer are you trying to install ?
Try having a look at this thread. The poster had a similar problem. Welcome to the forum

CFX L3500 IF Canon Multipass

Thanks for the welcome. I checked that thread and seems it ended up the same way I am, even with a different model of the Canon Multipass printer/copier/fax machine. Will try once again to remove those keywords from the registry.
