MPEG Corrupt

When trying to copy a video to DVD I had a message saying MPEG corrupted or
Parrameters not set correctly.
On checking Parrameters which were shaded out i had message reading
Parrameters already set and will start automaticaly.
I have checked that i have the right format but although the video
downloads ok on replay it is covered in tiny squares.
Can anyone help on this one.
