MP3 Sound for MS Power Point

I would like to find out how to use an MP3 music file instead of a WAV file
because the WAV files are 10 times too large than what's necessary. I'm using
Power Point 2000 with WIN XP

Get CDex: http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/download.html to convert MP3
to WAV before inserting in PPT. Choose Convert > Add RIFF-WAV
header to MP3 files. Good luck, --Rino

John:
Your help is greatly appreciated. It worked very well, and with all due
respect to Sonja Coleman (MVP), your fix was much easier and a snap.Thanks.

if you download the free program named CDex you can put a header on a MP3 and
trick Power Point into accepting it is a wav file but it will non have the KB
of Wav.

After downloading CDex open it Cick on Convert/Add RIFF Wav Header to MP3

insert this file into your slide show and you will then be able to email it
because it will only have the KB of an MP3 but be a Wav file.

I hope this helps
