hi , freeware experts here,
i am looking for one free mp3 player with the following special function:

i have quite a lot of mp3 songs each is divided into different folders,
these folders are made according to the albumn name.
now i want to have one freeware which could automatically play all the songs
inside one folder whenever i right click the folder.

i know it might be rather difficult but just wonder is there any such
convenient player?

Hi, I've got FreeAmp (freeware) v2.1.1 which does that. Works with
win95/98/ME. The set-up program is dated 2001. The company no longer
makes it/supports it. You might find it on the Net - but i think it's
name is changed :-( The install program is 2,1MB in size. I could mail
it to you if you want.

The new name of the program is Zinf, you can find it at
http://www.zinf.org/ - I think it improved a lot in the new version.

bye,

Very nice program, only 30KB including a plug in that maintains correct
volume and enhances stereo. Select the directory you want directly from the
program.

I don't know of a program which doesn't do that...how about Winamp,
which allows you to right-click a folder and choose Enqueue in Winamp
or Play in Winamp (of memory serves me). Also, Quintessential Player
( http://www.quinnware.com ) does that, and I seem to recall that
Apollo by Heikie ( http://www.hut.fi/~hylinen/apollo ) does as well.

A little trick: create a link to WinAmp in your Sendto folder, then
all you have to do is just r-click the folder and then choose
Sendto/WinAmp. Easy-easy

Winamp. Sometimes the answer is so obvious that you miss it.

Hi, I'm using WinXP Home and Winamp 2.80.

In Explorer when I right click a folder with MP3s in it, I get the option
Play in Winamp (and other Winamp options).

Sounds like just what you're after, and very simple!

but i also find another mp3 player which clearly get this function and the
name is : the core media player but could not 100% sure this software is
freeware.
as far as i know it has two version one seems to be free but another is not

thanks for your advice, Adrian,
regards,
teddy.

I find that too much stuff gets loaded onto the mouse context menu
box, so I remove quite a bit of stuff from registry. I find having
WinAmp in the send menu does what I want it to do without adding two
items to the main list. Obviously, that is not a solution for
everybody.
