Hi Peeps,

I'm looking for a freeware mp3 player that has A-B switching. This
option allows a chosen segment of an mp3 file to be repeated over and
over (for learning purposes in my case). I've tried Winamp, but don't
like the way this option is implemented and is very accurate, so I'm
open to other suggestions please.

Many thanks,
John.

geesh... I looked around a lot to find something... the only thing I could
find was
an audio editor that is not freeware, where you can define an area of the
sound and it plays again and again...

audacity unfortunatly cannot loop a sound like that....

perhaps someone else has a clue....

ok LOL I found it.. I am persistant.....

You can use quicktime player to do this
See screenshot

When you load a sound and play it, you can move your mouse cursor on top of
the timeline
and then the 2 start and ending points I have with a red square in the
screenshot will appear.
Then go to VIEW> play selection only and VIEW> Loop

you can find the standalone quicktime player here (without iTunes):
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html

Please tell me if this helps you..
