Mozilla vs IE6 Conflict

I

It's me

Hello everyone

I have Win98 SE and normally use IE6. It's been playing up recently (slow
to load, page not found, crashing ...) and I've been advised to try Mozilla.
I know that there has been a lot of discussion in the past but what are the
current thoughts about this? Which is the most up to date version? I'd
like to have both on my machine and use one or the other - is anyone aware
of any well-known conflicts or problems? If I run into problems and don't
want to keep Mozilla, can it be uninstalled easily to allow me to continue
using IE6 (albeit with problems)? I'd hate to have to reinstall my OS to
sort out any mess that might develop!!

I realise that this question could be asked in several NG but I have
specifically avoided cross-posting because I know that this is frowned upon.

Thanks for your time (and patience!)

Mozilla and IE shsould not conflict. The latest released version of
Mozilla is 1.6. It appears to be very stable and is relatively easy to
use. However you will still need IE on your system. Some ites work
only with IE (Windows update is one obvious one but there are some
non-Mixrosoft sites as well). If you are more adverturous, you might
want to try Firefox 0,8 whicb is not yet as user friendly as Mozilla
but is just a browser. I feel Firefox is stable, but not as easy to
use as Mozilla. You can get both from http://www.mozilla.org

The issue is not Mozilla and IE. The issue is Mozilla and Netscape. Those two browsers together in one machine will be a headache.

Not if different profiles are used.

No. It will be a headache. They share the same profile.

But they don't HAVE to! You can create one profile for NN7, and another for
Moz. I've done it, and never had a problem.
