After having so many repair problems with IE6, I made the switch to Mozilla
Firefox 1.0 Pre-Release. What a terrific browser, fast, mainly error-free,
with fabulous tab browsing plus many extensions to personally customize the
browser, all this in a free, opensource web tool that keeps on improving. In
a recent confrontation with IE6, after installing the MSN toolbar, I was hit
with 40 browser hi-jackers which only Ad-Aware Personal SE was able to
remove, the most intrusive being a MegaSearch Toolbar which took over IE6,
forcing it to become the IE6 start page. Recently, when I try to repair IE6
in A/R, it says that IE6 cannot affect the repair, that I have to re-install
it, which means un-installing it to IE4, then cleanly re-installing IE6.
Just too much for a completely inferior browser. The final release of
Firefox 1.0 is coming soon. It's getting top reviews from the major computer
publications. Try it !!!
