moving xp to windows 2003 domain

I have several computers that I'm adding to a 2003 domain. the network is made up of xp workstations, 2000 workstations, 98 workstations. There are 3 servers 1 nt 4, 1 2000, and a new 2003 server whcih is a doamin controler. the other 2 servers were file servers only and all 50 computers were in a peer-to-peer network. after setting up the active directory, the dns server, wins server, user accounts, DHCP is handle by a pix firewall which correctly assigns the wins dns and gateway. When adding the workstations the first 12 - 98 WS, went on the netwrok without a problem, the first xp ws had a small problem when copping the profile, beacasue of the size of my documents - 5gig, which when moved to a seprate folder the profile copied fine. and the 2000 WS also went on the domain without a problem and the user profile copied just fine. The problem occured with the next 5 98 WS and the next 2 XP boxes. with the 98 WS they keep comming up with an error after you logon and were forced to change your password they would say network object not found. With the xp WS I can join them to the doamin but I can't copy the user profile and assign it to the new doamin user account when I go into location it only shows the local computer instead of the domain. and when I try and add the domain user to the local admins group I get the same error the only location the comes up is the local computer. One other strange thing is when I try and browes the local workgroup i get a can't browse access denied error even though this is just a peer-to-peer network.

Dave:
This is a Windows XP newsgroup, not a Windows Server newsgroup. Nor is it a
Networking newsgroup.

Please note that you have included two contradicting statements in your
post: You open by saying that you are adding computers to a Domain, then
you close by saying it is a peer-to-peer network. If you are joining a
domain, it is most definitely not p-to-p.

Please also note that if you have one NT server and one 2000 server, you DO
NOT have a "2003 Domain" -- you have a mixed-mode Domain.
