Moving to a new computer.

Hi all,

I am getting a new laptop for mobility reasons. My old computer
is going to a relative. My question is: is there an easy way to
transfer all my favorites, emails, and all the stuff that makes my
old computer mine to my new laptop? I can connect the two
at the same time to the same network if that would make it easier.

thanks,
charles.....

BTW - If you're going from a 32-bit environmnet to a 64-bit, make sure you
install this update first:

Update for Windows XP (KB896344)
Date last published: 6/28/2005
Download size: 1.3 MB
The Files and Settings Transfer Wizard included in Windows XP SP2 does
not support gathering data from a 32-bit Windows XP environment and applying
it in a 64-bit Windows XP environment. Install this update to enable support
for collecting data in a 32-bit Windows XP environment and applying it to a
64-bit Windows XP environment. After you install this item, you may have to
restart your computer.
