Moving Shared Documents?

Hi,

Windows lets me move "My Documents" to another location on the disk
with an option in the right click menu. It even moves the data when I
redirect
the folder.

The right click menu for "Shared Documents" doesn't contain any such option.
How would I go about moving it?

I can copy it physically, but that would not seem to be enough. Is there a
registry key or some such that I have to change to get Explorer and all the
other programs to see the data in a new location?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Ramesh,
If you looked at the link I gave the OP you would have seen that it actually
goes back to your site with the link you gave, although yours was more
direct to the information he requires. Thanks

Hi Touch Base, Just checked the MSFN forum link and I see that it links to my site.

Thanks guys!
IIRC, Shared Music, Shared Pictures and Shared Video are normally seen under
Shared Documents.

If I understand Ramesh's directions, I'll need to create separate registry
entries for each of them to get
all of Shared Documents moved to another partition, right? Or do they
inherit Shared Documents as
the parent directory unless directed otherwise by creating the new registry
entry?

Hi Steve,

Yes. You're correct. They don't inherit the Shared Documents automatically.
