We are using Exchange 2k3 and Outlook 2k3. A user has the "send as"
permission on behalf of another account. How do we get the messages that he
"sends as" to go into the correct accounts sent items folder and not his own.
I have searched the knowledge base and looked at the rules, but cannot come
up with a solution to this problem. Any ideas?

thanks in advance.

Did you figure this out yet? I have the exact same issue (same setup too).
We're a small business and need to be able to see what others have responded
with.

thanks,

Hello.
I too am struggling with this exact issue. Did you obtain a solution for it?
Thanks so much.

Hi Jimbo

This may not be the perfect solution, but might help in the mean time: You
can try setting a rule in Outlook so that all messages meeting a certain
critera have a copy placed in another folder. That other folder could be a
public folder for instance...

Unfortunately the set of rules available in Outlook 2003 don't allow to
specify messages 'sent as' or 'sent on behalf of', but you may be able to
make use of the *recipient's* details if for example the account you are
'sending as' is used to send to a know set of recipients.

Eg If you used the 'send as' account to send company wide emails or to
certain DLs then the rule might help.

Hopefully that might give you an idea that you could use to work around the
problem for the time being?

Of course - It would be useful though if Outlook provided a little more
functionality with the rules to apply after messages are sent, or if there
was a settings to say 'save messages 'sent as' in the owners mailbox. :-)

Cheers,
Daniel
