Moving from 98 to 2000

My computer has windows 98 presently installed. I'd like to
upgrade to win2000.
Three Q's:
1. Should I buy professional upgrade version of win2000,
or an oem version?
2. If I install either type, how will this affect any
already installed apps. such as office 97 and files?
3. Do I have to uninstall win98 before installing win2000?

TY:)

Hi TK,

The retail upgrade should work OK. When you get the CD, you can run winnt32
/checkupgradeonly to look for incompatibility issues. You do not have to
uninstall Windows 98.
