Because of the multi user capabilities of XP Home, how does one transfer or
move Files/Folders from C: to another partition without having to do so for
each user?

I'm wanting to move My Documents, OE Stores, tmp and temp, Address Book.
Since this appears so different from Win 9x, I would appreciate some
guidance on how to accomplish.

Thanks

You'll have to do it individually for each existing user. If
you want this setting to apply for all new user then you
have to create a new profile and store it in the "Default
User" folder.

find your command prompt & type:help
then press enter, it is either attrib or move.

I hope this helps.

Please bloody well bite everyone's ass... uh, scooz.

Strike "ass" and replace it with "arse".

Seems very funny you quote MY posts but not the ones you reply to
otherwise..../

What's this got to do with my response or with the OP's question?

Can you elaborate

I'm sorry, but "phillip maurice nelson" can't elaborate on anything. He
is a troll who gives completely nonsensical and sometimes destructive
advice. Pegasus gave you the correct answer.

Thanks Malke. Time consuming and a PITA but I went ahead and did them
individually. I moved My Documents, OE Stores, Address Book,TIF and
Favourites. The only thing I didn't accomplish was to move the Temp and Tmp
folders; I had learned how via autoexec in Win 9x, but with no autoexec in
XP, I'm not sure how to handle it. Also I didn't move the SwapFile because I
understand that it may be better to leave it with C:

I'm glad you resolved the issue, even though it was a PITA. Thanks for
taking the time to let us know.
