MovieMaker has developed a serious problem

My MovieMaker just started doing the same thing. Try to
add a transition or insert a title and MovieMaker
instantly disappears, no lockup or error message. You can
import or record clips just fine, but anything else, no
luck.

Bob, you probably added a software package that brought in one of the
problem codecs. See the Problem Solving > Acceleration and Codecs page of my
site.
