Movie Maker problem - invalid file

I am trying to reopen a Movie Maker project to edit it. I am receiving an
error message that it is not a valid Movie Maker project. My other projects
open without issue. When I look at the properties of the file it is a .MSWMM
- any ideas without starting from scratch? Thanks to anyone who can help.

I am having the same problem. I have tried opening from within Movie Maker
and also from the folder where the project is located. I keep getting the
error message that it is not a valid Movie Maker project file.
