Movie maker closes automatically

My movie maker used to work perfectly earlier.
Now after installing a bunch of other softwares like
Nero, DivX, etc..., now when I try to run my movie maker
projects, the application closes without giving any other
error message.

how can I make my movie maker work normally?

I found that this problem can be eliminated by renaming
the divx - anti freezing codec "DivXAF.ax"
to "DivXAF.ax_".

I donno what effect it will have on DivX. But this makes
my movie maker to work.
