Movie Maker and DV-AVI Capture

Using the wizard to capture from a DV camera and the
option "Digital Device Format (DV-AVI)" it's not working.

The sound cuts in & out and the video skips!

This format is needed in order to edit the video and keep
the original quality to exported back to DV tape after
editing. Please Help!
 
Sounds like your hardware is having a hard time keeping up. Do you have DMA
enabled on your HDD? When was the last time you defragged your HDD? What
are your system specs?
