MOvie Maker 6.0 Frozzen

Movie maker will not play my timeline even though I can though I can see my
pictures on the timelne and the storyboard frames. I am using Movie Maker
ver. 6.0

I had the same problem with movie maker in windows vista presumably because
of an mp3 clip i had incorporated into my project. i removed the selected
clip and resaved the project but it's still frozen.

is it completely necessary to convert it to a different file type? if so,
which one and how do I go about doing it?
