Move Usert Profile (or Entire Docs & Setngs) to Other Volume?

I'm running XP Pro on a workgroup LAN with multiple users, and I want to move
one of my user profile (preferably the entire C:\Documents and Settings
folder) to a data volume (call it E:) to simplifiy backup of valuable data
and settings. I've been able to move the My Documents folder for a
particular user to a different volume, but I want to move ALL user data AND
settings. Although I've seen prescriptions for moving user profiles (e.g.,
in Que's "Using MS Windows XP Pro" 3rd Ed., p.1101), when I try to move one
to a drive other than C:, my machine simply locks up. Isn't there a simple
way to accomplish this? -- JCW

Simple? No - only during install if you did an unattended installation.

You might google or see
http://forums.techarena.in/windows-xp-support/236625.htm - but I wouldn't do
it. My Documents is easy to move. If you want a lot more centralization, get
yourself a Windows server, set up AD & use folder redirection for My Docs,
Application Data & Desktop. (SBS is a nice & easy way to get into this
config)
