mouse/window focus

i do not remember what program gave me the option, (or if
it was a program), to enable the mouse pointer to make
whatever window the "active" window when you point to it,
but I would like to undo this as when I am trying to type
and use the mouse to place the cursor, and then move the
mouse outside the typing area (which often means leaving
the window), I lose the ability to type, till i move the
pointer back to that window. Can anyone help me with
this please?

TWEAKUI.EXE > Mouse > X-Mouse. TweakUI is available from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp.
