Right-click My Computer
Click Manage
Click Device Manager.
Double-click Mice and other pointing devices
Right-click the name of the mouse you want to configure
Click Properties
Click the Advanced Settings tab
Under Wheel Detection, click Look for wheel.
Some require software drivers for the wheel to function (depends on the manufacturer)
If a CD or floppy came with the mouse, try installing the drivers.
