Mouse Wheel trouble

I have Win Xp Pro SP2. My mouse wheel works in all programs (Firefox,
etc.) but not in my computer games. With the same mouse, it used to work
in the games, but since I reinstalled Win XP, it isnt working. Any help?

This doesnt help. I dont have a Microsoft mouse.

It doesn't matter what make of mouse, the mouse program is for Windows and
that is all that counts.

Download the Intelli-Point mouse program from the Microsoft Hardware
Download site... I believe 5.5 is the latest version. In case you have any
doubt, the mouse program sometimes gets corrupted over time and acts
funny... reinstalling the program can solve it. I've seen the problem you
describe and a fresh installation of the mouse program has made the
difference.



Just click on the download bar and select save to download it to your hard
drive and install it after.

I reinstalled the latest drivers. In some programs the wheel works, in
some programs it doesn't.
