Mouse stops responding after XP SP1

I have a Toshiba 5205-S119 notebook. After installing XP
SP1, the USB mouse stops functioning.

I removed all USB Root Hub entries in Device Manager, now
the mouse is working again...

Boot in Safe mode and remove all USB ports/hub/device (including the mouse)
and then reboot into normal mode. XP should then be able to re-detect the
USB device (ports/hub/etc...).
