"USB Device Not Recognized" message

Whenever my Toshiba TE2100 notebook goes into standby mode and comes out
again, it gives about 6 popup displays of the above message. If I use a
USB mouse, the mouse doesn't work after the wakeup. I've gone back to a PS2
mouse, but the messages still appear, althoughy the mouse does work.

It is running XP Pro, with SP2. According to the MS Knowledgebase, this
problem was known about and fixed in XP SP1. I can't find any other
information about it. Anyone know anything?

Thanks in advance
Steve Marshall

Go to Toshiba to update all drivers for your TE2100...
Go to Windows update to update your OS....
Go to >>Hardware>>Device Manager>>USB root hub>>Power Management
disable -- allow windows to turn offxxxxxxxx
