Mouse problem

I have a Microsoft Optical Intellimouse and lately I have had problems with
the "clicking". When I click once, it clicks twice. Does everyone agree
that a new mouse is needed, or is there some other settings I need to
change? Also, what is the difference between the Optical Intellimouse and
the new "Blue" optical mouse?

i am having the same problem with the same mouse....my
pointer kinda flickers and anything it touches it opens
even tho i don't click to do so...also if i go to open a
new page it opens over 20 pages and i have close browser
for it to stop opening more.....and it is very hard to
get it to click more so every day...i have deleted the
drives and redownloaded but too no avail...sure hope
someone can help us here.....i don't know whether to get
a new mouse or what...tho i did hook up a diff one and
did same thing...so guess it not the mouse....anyone out
there know how to solves this? ty

Go to control panel then mouse. You might also have a mouse config utility
for your mouse and it is set for open when hovering for x seconds. You can
also download tweakui.

I checked my settings and they are all right.......still problems with this
stupid mouse.
