Mouse problem

Hi guys,

I have 3 mice.

Logitech ps/2 port mouse...................works only vertically
Logitech USB cordless mouse............absolutely dead
HID-compliant mouse.........................working properly(USB)

Anybody knows why?

All three devices are working properly (from "mouse properties" box)
The first mouse can be hooked up to the computer through a USB port by an adaptor and still acts the same

Thank you,

Sam

hi,
most mouse problems are cause by dirt.
flip it upside down, turn the mouse ball
retaining disk, remove the disk and ball.
look inside. the ball contacks two rollers,
one on top, one on side.
these get dirty. clean them with an old toothbrush.
get all the dirt out.

have fun
