Eratic Mouse

I have a Logitech cordless laser mouse and I've noticed lately that if
I drag it to highlight a sentence or a paragraph when I release it the
lighlighted portion isn't highlighted anymore and I have to repeat the
process, sometimes several times or it will mix the sentences up by
grabbing part or all of one word. Another odd thing is that when I
went to check on the actual model number in the device manager all it
shows is HID compliant mouse but says it's working properly. The Add/
Remove programs show nothing referring to Logitech. Should I re-
install the drivers?

Thanks,

Robert

I'd try new batteries.

What is the model number/letters ? ( mine is a nano vx ) . You might
need updated drivers .

Hello,

Most USB mice are identified as HID compliant mouse unless you installed
specific drivers.

Try another mouse and see if the problem occurs. I suspect when you let go
of the button, the mouse adds a single left click thereby removing the
highlight. If this is the case, you need to replace the mouse.
