Ever since I have purchased my labtop, which is a Satellite A75-S213, I have
been having a lot of complications with my mouse pad. It works great when I
start up my computer and everything, but when my computer goes into standby
or hibernation mode my mouse pad stops working and my pointer is frozen. I
have to turn off my computer evertime I am done using it and can never just
shut the lid and come back to it later. I was wondering if anyone would know
how to fix this problem.

Two workarounds:

Don't use hibernation or standby. Use Control Panel - Power Options.

Plug in an external mouse rather than using the mouse pad.

Alternatively, check for an updated driver for your mouse pad.

Look in Device Manager and see if the properties of the touchpad include
a Power tab. If so, deselect "Allow the computer to turn off this
device to save power".
