Mouse Hesitates

I'm running Win XP Home with SP2. My mouse constantly hesitates and
momentarily locks then works and then hesitates once again. Any clues? I'm
running a microsoft mouse.

I forgot to mention that it is a PS/2 optical mouse. It runs like a dirty
trackball mouse.

Hi,nice to see I`m not the only person w/that problem. I have an Emachine
w/the same problem, also when I go into games on line my mouse look also
hesitates & LOCKS UP,OR I`M BOOTED OFF THE GAME !! And sometimes when i logon
to a game it says unknown person or entity??? What the hey?? I`m also at an
impass !! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US & KILL 2 BIRDS WITH 1 STONE PLEASE PLEASE

I`m havin the same problem w/an Emachine. I also go in2 a first person
shooter game and the same thing happens when I look around w/my mouse.ALso
I`ve locked up in game 2. And when I log into a game it does not recognize me
and says unknown player or unknown entity. If someone would please respond
w/answer or suggestions ?? It would be much appreciated!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!
