Mouse double click

Sometimes, I will single-click, and the computer interprets this as a
double-click.

This is annoying, especially when I close a program. It closes two!

Go to control panel, Mouse settings, slow down the double
click speed, that should help the sensitivity issue.
 
That appears to allow the mouse to register slow clicks, but does not limit
the fast clicks.
