Mouse doesn't function...

I should add that using a 'classic' PS2 mouse I do not have any mouse
function in my PC. It seems that I lost the drivers? Am I making correct
reasoning? Is there any expert for helping in solving this problem?

Thank you.

?? "should add"? Add to what? You made a new post; whatever you
intended to add to is not known to anyone reading this.

Please stick to the one thread you raised on this, your first - don't keep

Thank you Twane for your reply. In fact I was adding a new information for a question I put a few minutes before. The problem was: no usb mouse worked in my PC after installing a 512 MB DIMM. So I made a further experiment: I tried with a PS2 mouse and verified that even so I had no command.
Fortunetely I solved this problem when I restart my PC and a window pop-up
saying that a new hardware (exactly the plugged usb mouse!) was found. So I
installed this drive and the problem was solved. In conclusion: I had lost
the mouse drive in some anterior operation. Thanks for helping!!!

Thank you Olérin!
You give me a constructive answer. What I intended with the second question
is to enhance that even with a non-usb mouse I had no command and, so,
perhaps the problem was not a usb problem...
Fortunately I solved the problem: after restarting with a usb mouse plugged
my system pop-up a window saying for a new hardware: I decided to install it
because it was exactly the mouse plugged. After that the problem was solved.
CONCLUSION: it was a driver problem. Perhaps I cleaned the driver already
installed without conscience of it.
Thank you for your prompt help!!!
