mouse cursor disappears

Hello,

I have a win 2000 os, every once in a while my mouse cursor disappears,
computer doesn't freeze, I have to reboot to get cursor back, tried different
mice, didn't work, any ideas why's cuasing this to happen.

Check Event Viewer for errors. Check Device Manager for error codes and or
non-starting devices.
