Mouse and Keyboard stop working when updating USB 2.0

I am installing a TV card which uses USB 2.0 so I followed the
instructions to update to USB 2.0. Then after rebooting, the keyboard
and the mouse stop working and I can do nothing at all. Is there any
way I can get out of this? Thanks,

I have got similar problem too.

I installed a VGA card driver (ATI 7500), and my keyboard just stopped
functioning in window. Have anybody found out how to solve such problem?

In addition, my keyboard works prefectly fine under safe mode.
