I fried the motherboard in my H/P.A friend gave me a
board/processore of same speed from a old Dell.My XP hard
drive wont start up with the motherboard. His ME starts-up
and runs just fine(thing is he wants it back, and wont let
me copy me to my hard drive)Is there anything I can do to
get XP to fire up on the H/P with a Dell motherboard?

If you have a HP preinstalled version of Windows XP installed,
it will not work with a Dell motherboard. If that is the case,
you'll need to purchase a conventional "Full Version" of Windows XP
and perform a "Repair Install".
