Hi everybody,
first of all, excuse me for my english. I'm catalan and I will try that
you understand me

I have a P IV 3,2 which doesn't turn on.
Few Days ago, I kept out all components and I changed the processor for
another and I listened the 'beep' of the motherboard.

I thought that the processor was wrong and I searched to buy one of new,
but I didn't find this type of processor (P IV 3.2/114/800). When I
tried to turn on another time the computer to know which processor was
compatible with its motherboard, some problems ocurred and didn't turn on.

What can it hapen?

Thanks

Few days ago, When I changed the processor, in first time i listened a
'beep', but i don't remember which type. I think was one 'beep' so,
there was no error, but today, when i've tried again, don't turn on and
there is any 'beep'

Thanks

If you put in a different CPU, check your motherboard manual. You might
need to change a jumper... assuming the motherboard accepts that CPU.

Carles,

Hopefully nothing is toasted, disconnect power cord and all cables to your
mini tower, make sure you are grounded, open case..
Take out the cooling fan & CPU and the CMOS battery and let the machine sit
for like 10 min or so, then put back the old CPU & Fan, then put the battery
back in and reconnect the monitor and your power cord , keyboard and mouse
only, no printer, USB, etc..
Turn the computer on and post your results..
You may also need to check the HP site for any BIOS updates or chipset
updates for your make & model #?.. I noticed you have a SiS chipset and not
an Intel chipset, may need an update to work with the new CPU.. You also
should contact HP's customer support and verify that the new CPU is indeed
supported, their reference in your link is vague to say the least, especially
since Intel's CPU renaming campaign..
Hope for the best..

That mobo is manufactured by ECS:

Is this the machine it's in?
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...694&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=447098&lang=en

Plus, could you be a bit more specific on the processor you installed.
