Can anyone recommend a good freeware that will display CPU and case temps in
the taskbar? Thanks.

Maybe SpeedFan http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

Unfortunately it supports only displaying one temperature in tray,
although is monitors every temperature (also of hds) in it's window.

No support for display in taskbar, I fear, but I'm not sure, whether you
really mean taskbar and not tray ...
