also i am having trouble validating windows, the codes i have are not being
asccepted.

any help appreciated :)

Your version of EVEREST may be old, try updating it and/or
Bel Arc Advisor www.belarc.com to see if you can get an
updated mobo list. Everest www.lavalys.com

If all else fails, a good light and a magnifying glass will
let you find the details printed on the mobo.

If your codes are not being accepted, perhaps your software
is not valid.

hi jim, ha ha i might seem think by aking this but how the hell do i update
it, its not giving me the option???

What Brand & Model # is the PC ? - or is it a home or custom built
unit ? Everest should display the information as Jim wrote. Sometimes
you can get some info about the PC by catching the BIOS post data.
On some machines it will display a string containing the ID or BIOS
version number. If the PC is a commercial unit (Dell, Gateway) it will
have a unique Identifier on a label, usually on the back panel of the
PC.

its a packard bell amd 64 processor.
the info on the back of my computer says:
mode/type:utow ori
ms whql no: ori 971161
s/n: 046450920489
product name: imedia 1516

is this any help to u?

i'm not 100% computer literate but can find the info required if u explain
how.

Thanks for the follow-up info. You should be able to get specific
downloads and documents from the following: You'll probably need
to search using the PC's model series (Should be on the Front of the
Computer), like iExtreme....

Check your version number and check the current version at
the web site. Download and install a newer version.
