more quick launch bars?

This is probably impossible, but since my new computer has Office 2007,
there is no longer the office bar available. I would like to sort of clone
the quick launch bar in the taskbar to have a second one. Is this at all
possible?

Thanks,
Sheila

Right-click on your taskbar, select Toolbars->New Toolbar...
Browse to a folder where you want to store the items (probably shortcuts)
that you want in the toolbar (there is a "create folder" button you can use
to create a new one) and select OK.
You will get a new toolbar similar to the Quicklaunch one on your taskbar.
You can drag the bar to where you want it (even elsewhere on the screen
than your taskbar), set options like whether you want icons only or
icons+text, a title, and so on, just like you can with the Quicklaunch one.

I have been adding these "toolbars" for quite awhile and if you want some
screen shots I can e.mail or post on my web site. I have an "explorer"
toolbar (named "x")with shortcuts to a variety of locations that open Windows
Explorer views. Then a "shorcut" toolbar (named "s") with shortcuts to just
about everything from files and folders to websites. I also created a "My
Computer" toolbar but modified it by renaming the "My Computer" string value
in the registry to [(Alt+0160) this is the character code for a blank space]
Now that "My Computer" is now " " it doesn't take up a lot of room on the
taskbar, all you see is the double chevron. So all 3 toolbars take up less
than an inch on my taskbar.

Would love to help

JB
