I understand DAO means data access objects. But I'm wondering if this isn't
related to my not being able to write to the 4.x gig DVD's ? A google search
brings up page after page of DAO.msi and DVD info on the same lines.

Look, just use recordnow max if that doesn't work nothing will. I can send
you a copy of it. DOA also stands for disk at once related to cd or dvd
writing but your video card has nothing to do with you cd/dvd writer. One
thing i know about is cd and dvd software and hardware. I've burned close to
250,000 blank cd's and dvd's combined.

DAO.MSI post actually had nothing to do with my DVD writing problem. I was
looking for a cure to make office 2k quit looking for this non-existent program
[DAO.msi].

When I did a google for DAO.msi hundreds of hits came back with DVD, CD, etc in
the search results. I wasn't looking for DVD or CD results now. This DAO.MSI
problem has popped up since the installation of SP2.

DAO is actually installed [for me] with my AIW 9800 software, and DAO I suspect
is related to the TV guide database in the aiw9800.

What DAO has to do with DVD or CD I have no idea. I just want MSaccess to quit
asking me to go find it every time I export something.

If I hit cancel on the 5 attempts to find it, MSaccess works just as well as it
did before I installed SP2.

I went and bought some DVD +RW and DVD +R disks today to see what type if any
will work with this drive. That's the only thing that makes any sense. the
drive writes CD's it wrote 3 TV shows to a fujifilm DVD-R up to 8x. and they
worked.
But these no name [that the shop uses every day, DVD-R 4x] are failing as data
using the same Nero software the shop is using.

I'm currently trying to write another DVD with studio8 that did the write to
the fujifilm DVD. If it fails on this DVD disk, then I can only assume it has
something to do with the disks.

I'd prefer using these since they're only $1.00 each. but if I have to write 15
disks to find one that works, it's not worth the savings.
