More mapped drives

When i take my domain use laptop home, upon starting it tries to re establish
connection to the 5 mapped drives that i use at work. This takes about 30
seconds each, does anyboby know where the settings are to reduce the wait or
timeout for mapped drives? - Thanks

Instead of leaving the drives permenantly mapped, why not use a batch file
on your desktop to map them when you're in the office? If you're on a
domain, a centralized login script would be even better.

net use x: \\server\share /persistent:no
net use y: \\server\othershare /persistent:no

etc.
