Monitor shuts off

Our monitor shuts off, sometimes after just a few seconds, sometimes it will
stay on longer. It shuts off in safe mode too. The light turns from green to
orange. All our power option are set to never. Our computer is still
running. we have to turn the computer and monitor off and on get it working.
Could it be the cord or what? The monitor is about two years old.

Hi,

Wouldn't be the cord, it just supplies power. It doesn't control it.

So when did this problem start? Or has it always been like this?

reinstall your video drivers. It happened to me and reinstalling the
drivers fixed it.
