monitor refresh rates?

Hi all...wondering if there are default refresh rates for resolutions on a
crt monitor? I run my screen 1280 x 1024 85mhz refresh rate using an ati
9800xt gfx card (19" monitor).

While setting up other machines I wonder where the rates should be for other
resolutions and screen sizes.

1024 x 768 is pretty much the standard these days. Try to use 85 hz refresh
as much as possible to avoid eye strain from looking @ the monitor for a
long time
