Something changed and now I can't access the "power" option for my monitor
in order to have it power down.

When I go to desktop>properties>screen saver and click on the "power" button
nothing happens.

win 2000, sp4, lastest drivers for envisions EN775E monitor. Was working
for months. Anyone know how to get the "power" button" working again.

.

Something probably changed your monitor to a generic
setting. Right click on My Computer and select Manage.
Select Device Manager and expand the Monitors list. If it
shows a generic monitor, you need to install the driver
for your monitor.

Thanks for the reply but that's not it. Windows thinks the monitor is an
Envision EN-775e (which is correct).
