monitor display problem

I turned on my laptop yesterday and the screen is displaying sideways. have
already spent 8 hours trying everything i can think of including the advice i
got re: video card drivers but nothing works. need to resolve this urgently
as i have a uni essay due monday!

You have inadvertantly pressed some combination of keys, like ctrl-arrow key,
or shift-arrow, or maybe ctrl-shift-arrow. Try the alt key too.
