Moive clip help with presentation

Hello - I've been tasked to create a 10 min ppt in 10 days. I've used pp for
years with some creative techniques. In this one I have several movie clips
which I'm having issues with. I need help with the following:

1. I have a few continuous slides each with a single clip. The effect I'm
looking for is to advance one slide to the next without the hesitation and
jerking motion between clip end/starts during slide advance. Maybe I should
put 2 or more clips on the same slide and start after the previous one?
2. I can't seem to "bring to the front" any object while a movie is
playing? Is this possible? (there is logic to my madness)
3. I also have an mp3 playing in the background which I want to fade out
and back in during certain parts of the movie clip. Is this possible with pp
or do I need to edit the mp3 with software like audiocity to adjust silence
when needed?

I am a bit confused here. Do you have the video playing across multiple
sides?

Correct, video always plays "in front" of other PowerPoint objects.

Correct, you have to do this in an external editor. PPT does not provide
this function.
