My modem just a few days ago drop in speed. I had the
phone lines tested and that was ok. i tried to download a
updated driver but my XP wont take it because of the
logo,but i got this from experts.So do you think i need a

Providing you have the correct/latest drivers for your
Modem, I would personlay, remove the device from Device
Manger, reboot, and reinstall it.
In the UK, its possible for BT to DAX (dunno how u spell
it) your line, which splits your line with somebody else
in the exchange, that will result in your modem connection
being halved too.
